Plateforme d’échanges, de témoignages et d’informations à destination des LGBT africain-e-s
Africa Gay Rights est une initiative d’un groupe d’activistes africains LGBT soutenus par la Maison Arc-en-Ciel de la province de Luxembourg (Belgique).
Son objectif : participer depuis la Belgique à la lutte contre l’homophobie et la transphobie en Afrique.
Les activistes souhaitent apporter aux militants LGBT des pays d’Afrique, dans la mesure de leurs moyens, un soutien logistique et méthodologique dans le respect des expertises de chacun-e-s.
Africa Gay Rights a pour buts :
Platform of exchanges, testimonies and information bound for African LGBT-e-s
Africa Gay Rights is an initiative of a group of African activists LGBT supported by the “Rainbow House of the province of Luxembourg (Belgium).
Its aim: To take part, while in Belgium, in the struggle against the homophobia and the transphobia in Africa.
The activists are hoping to afford, in the limits of their capacities, the LGBT militants in African countries, with a logistic and methodological back up of course in respecting every –e-s ‘knowhow.
Africa Gay Rights aims at:
- giving information, verified by witnesses, about the situation of the LGBT in Africa
- permitting the exchange of proper practices between African associations in ground actions (preventing and combating the HIV, combating homophobia, LGBT destined information, methodology of listening and mutual help…) as well as in political and judicial actions held in favor of the decriminalization of the homosexuality and the trans identity and the penalization of acts, discriminations and homophobic and transphobic public insults
- giving information accompanied with testimonies about asylum in Europe or in other countries that allow the asylum for the LGBT who flee their own countries.
